I should be writing or doing productive dad stuff. Instead I’m listening to Boston. I don’t even particularly like Boston, but it’s a Boston kind of evening.

Watching Weird Al’s UHF to educate my kids. They basically predicted that people would watch total nonsense instead of network TV. Or, to put it another way, YouTube.

I was dreaming that I was doing a math final and my family kept waking in and interrupting me. Then I realized “wait, I graduated last year! I don’t have to do this!” And woke up. It was a good feeling.

Hey writer-type friends! I've been enjoying the experience of writing over at It's a charming little alpha-level experiment in creating a writing community, and so far I've found it pretty amazing. I have a few invite codes to give away, DM me if you would like one.

I guess I'm officially old. The number of posts on the federated timeline that I just plain can't decipher or understand is very, very high.

I really wish it were more socially acceptable to take sick days on account of 𝑒𝑛𝑛𝑢𝑖.

Today's rip-to-plex project includes my Pink Floyd CDs I bought back in high school. I have 𝘋𝘢𝘳𝘬 𝘚𝘪𝘥𝘦 𝘰𝘧 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘔𝘰𝘰𝘯 (of course,) 𝘈𝘵𝘰𝘮 𝘏𝘦𝘢𝘳𝘵 𝘔𝘰𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘳, and 𝘜𝘮𝘮𝘢𝘨𝘶𝘮𝘮𝘢. It's pretty clear I was aiming specifically at the "I'm weirder than my friends" mark. "Oh look at me! I have psychedelic rock albums from before I was born! I must be interesting!" Silly high school me!

Although, Atom Heart Mother has the song "If" on it, which is a surprisingly beautiful and thoughtful track.

Watching Condorman off of my friend's server. I loved this movie when I was very young, wondering if it holds up.

I'm about fifteen minutes into it and so far:
